About time we got some cookies made!

And gingerbread, my favorite!

The dough, divided in two and ready to get wrapped to sit....
Ah, the waiting is the hardest part, but it helps to have beaters to lick. One almost done and a new one to get started!
Baths are always a good idea to pass the time as well, and then you can sport your stylish penguin towel for the cutting phase.
Akasha in her perch right next to us. She is becoming a Lego connoisseur already!
Second half of the dough. Oh, the concentration! Even the towel had to be shed!
I think this is officially my favorite cooking picture of Orion ever!

Lots and lots of flour is essential when making shape cookies with a 4 year old to avoid frustration! Little men all in a row, still a bit dusty. :)
Mmm, all baked up. Better run guys.
And last but not least, our awesome (ahem, 6 foot?) rustic tree. We finally got it in the house after letting it drip dry in the garage for a bit. Still not a very good picture, but you can see how natural it is. The farm has always been one that doesn't do any shaping, and Tanya and Craig plan to keep it that way. I love the way the little "foof" closest to the top is bigger than the foot or so under it! Too bad most of the top needs to come off....
Right now, it is moved out about four feet from the wall and still almost touches the sloped ceiling! We will need to crop it a bit to get it in front of the window. The tree is a slow and gradual project this year apparently haha!
