Our tickets had the boarding time on them, so we got everything packed up and went closer to the gate right before them. They were running a little late, so Orion went up to the desk to ask when the plane would be ready. (He kept saying “blast off: LOL). There were two guys working the desk, and one of them went to ask if we could preboard because he wanted to take Orion up to the cockpit! Go, go Alaska Airlines. Best desk people ever!
The plane we were on turned out to be tiny. We had been moved to row 18 to get seats together, and that turned out to be the last row! So we were right across from the bathroom and our seats didn’t go back. It wasn’t too horrible, though. The rear flight attendant had his pull down seat right next to ours, so we got to chat with him. He was an older dude and seemed to really like Orion. The flight was fairly easy thanks to me buying a new Little Einsteins DVD. He has only seen that show once, but he enjoyed it, so I thought we would give it a try, and it held his interest until the battery on my laptop died. Thankfully, we were just about to start descent, and a sticker book I bought lasted the rest of the trip.
I had never been to
