Orcas Island Trip, Day 1

I am breaking up these posts because I have so many photos, as usual!

In line for the ferry
Crow or Raven?

Almost there!

There were many cormorant nests on the pier.

Cute windswept boy.

So serious!
Trying to get a self taken shot with the water in the background.  Terrible lighting!

Out on the deck with Glynis.

Got plumber?

San Juan views

Daddy giggles!

More views.

This was on the wall of our cabin!
Twilight on Doe Bay
The view from our balcony.
We got to Doe Bay just in time to make it to dinner at their AMAZING restaurant.  They were out of fish, so Ron and I both tossed our low carb lifestyle to the winds and had a major splurge.  I wish I would have taken pictures of the food because it was all exquisite.  They grow just about everything they use right in their garden.  I had a salad, with all sorts of fresh veggies and an amazing dressing with herbs in it, and a wild mushroom stew type of thing that was delicious.  There was a vegetable in the salad called a sea bean that only grows in intertidal areas and has to be hand gathered.  It was so interesting!  Ron had a cream of broccoli soup that was just bursting with fresh veggies flavor and a gourmet pizza that he said was one of the best pizzas he ever had.
