Tulip Festival 2010

A beautiful day to go see the tulips!!! It is amazing how much the fields rotate around from year to year. I don't think the main flowers have ever been this far out before.

Orion driving the tractor.
Sister wanted to get on the act.
Then we had to walk quite a ways to get over to the area with the vendors and bouncy houses. There was a side rode, but the kids really wanted to walk through the field...

...where there were lots of ladybugs!
As is becoming our tradition, we took lots of peeking through the flowers pictures.
Not sure what was going on here, but the echoing arm shapes cracked me up.
Little flower fairy. :)
Think we may end up with a series of these too.
Orion still loves these things. And the expression is classic.
Wheeee!
Ah, the brain rattling slide.
Oh my goodness, it's actually a family photo! This one cracks me up as Akasha looks like she is looking for some milk.
Alas, this one didn't capture a great expression either. Akasha is just not an on cue smiler!
More peekies.
This would be Akasha making her sniffy face.
Oooh, caught a smile when she wasn't looking!
Goofy girl.
Getting a closer look.

More sniffsniff lol.

Hey, there are some little fingers in that face hole!
And then we realized we locked the keys in the car... :/ And our cellphones! Luckily a guy let us use his phone and we have roadside assistance with our insurance, but oy, it took them awhile to get there! Akasha and I hung out with a nice guy and his two golden retrievers who was chilling with them at his car while his girlfriend and her niece did the rides. It was pretty funny as a whole family showed up to "break us in". Dad, Mom, kids.... wondering if they were out at church being a Sunday and called to do a job! Dad made quick work of it and we were on our way. Akasha was out like a light before we got out of the parking lot. :)

Goose, Goose, Duck

Just a quick trip out to the duck pond for a cache. :)

Orion with some swag and Akasha making a strange face.
Swagarooni!
If you look closely, you can see a piece of popcorn flying through the air lol.
And here come the ducks!
Can you find the ladybug?
This was at the other end of the pond where we found a bunch of geese. I thought it was funny this cache was named Duck Duck Goose because there were way more geese! When they noticed us and started heading over like this, Ron said, "Here comes the calvary!" haha
Surrounded!

Rainbows, Airplanes and Gardens!

Seems like I have no time for blogging these days as I have started some projects around the house. But I like to at least get the better pictures thrown up. We went out to dinner at our nearby sushi place the other night, and this amazing full rainbow greeted us on our exit!I love Portland Springs! I have never noticed before that the sky looks so different above and below a rainbow. I am not sure if it is something about how it looks in a photo of if you can see it in real life as well, but I am going to try to remember to look next time!

Orion asked me to make a paper airplane the other day, and I really only know one kind. So we ended up finding a website that had a bunch of cool designs, and Ron made several for him. He is totally enamored!

We got three garden boxes built and have gotten some plants started. Hope it is a productive year!

Of Course, It's Always the Ghosts!

Hilarious conversation:

Orion: The Easter Bunny is NOT real!
Me: You don't think so? Who do you think hid all those eggs?
Orion: Well, I believe ghostes are real.

Oh, and he asked a pretty deep question the other day... If the Goddess made the world, then who made the Goddess? Hmmmmmmm

Easter Stuff

Day before dyeing!
Akasha showing off her tats and playing with egg dippers.
This went on for awhile and seemed very interesting to her in the moment.
Several done!
Akasha busy eating cookies off the table lol.
Next day! The hunt begins!

Got one!

Makin' the grab!
Orion got the silver egg! This was a family tradition in my family for years. There was always a gold and silver egg hidden with money, usually in really hard spots and intended for the adults. This one had a handful of quarters. :)
Somebody doesn't have much experience with hard candy yet lol... She was drooling a bunch of it right out of her mouth.
How cute is that?
Later that day.... Orion wanted me to take a picture of this scene, which he declared a party. Notice the use of peanut butter cups for tables.

Random Picture Catch Up

Kids at a bday party egg hunt. Or after it I should say. :) Candy fest!
Hehe candy teeth.
Funny series Ron took on the bed. This one cracks me up with just A's eyeballs showing.
I think my son is an alien. What is up with that mouth?
Huggle!
More big baby browns.
Ron getting silly with Orion's food.
Not sure what is going on with the eerie look in O's eyes, but he was really cute loving on this doll.
