Big Hair and Big Ears

Just another bit of Orion art...
The guy on the left at the bottom Orion said had big ears. I was also really digging the spirals! But the guy on the right was my favorite. When I asked about him, it was simply explained he had big hair. Afro anyone? Both my kids crack me up.

Akasha Watching Herself

So the Youtube I posted a few days ago of Akasha has her eternally entertained. Every time I play it for her, she does all the same things she is doing on the screen. Clapping, kissing, the whole bit. It is such a crack up!

Rocket Blocks!

More in the complicated tower building theme:
This one was a rocket he said, and look, he does have a face! :)
He wanted to take one himself.
A self portrait at arm's length:
Oy, is it just me, or did anybody else get a flash to Orion at about 14 doing this for an online forum? :sigh:

And yet another subject Orion finds interesting:
Yes, he eats plain chickpeas this way!

Garden Girls

We got to watch Amma for a little bit today! I had a feeling she would love the flowers in the back, and she did! Actually, she noticed the little hyacinth in the front yard the minute she got out of the car and picked some.

Here we are in the backyard. This is an example of me trying to get a picture of A in the flowers and her being more interested in looking at the ground LOL. Very exciting stuff down there!
This is the best I did.

Miss Amma and the flowers.

Dang is she cute or what? If I do ever want to go into photography, I know who I will be calling to build my portfolio. :)

Sunny Days and Shiny Rocks

Had our first really warm day today! We have had some sunny days, but they were still pretty cool and crisp. Our terraces have also exploded with flowers! Didn't even know they were there! Orion calls that section just to the left of him "the flower jungle".
Kona... DENIED! This is one of the corners where she was getting out, but now they are boarded up. When we let her out she wanders back and forth between them. Sometimes she just lays there and dreams of freedom.
We decided painting rocks sounded like fun! Do you see something in the green? Try to take a close look before reading below!

Orion doesn't read or write yet, but I swear it looked like "Joy" to me when I uploaded it! I am thinking I should blow this up and frame it to remind me that is his true internal state!

My Easter egg rock:
Hard at work

Fuzzy Logic?

Orion said something so hilarious last night - have to write it down before I forget! He told Ron he wanted him to eat unhealthy foods so he could play with him. Huh? Orion explained, "You are always telling me to eat healthy foods so I can grow up big and strong, so I want you to eat unhealthy foods, because then you will get small like me and we can play together." Awwww

Guess that isn't fuzzy logic at all - pretty sound!

Scott Noelle on No Regrets

Loving this so much I had to share it! One of Scott's most poetic pieces ever!

THE DAILY GROOVE ~ by Scott Noelle

:: No Regrets ::

As you progress and become a wiser parent, you may at
times feel regret that you didn't "know better" when
your children were younger. You may even feel guilty
for "damaging" them. If so, let Mother Nature inspire
you to a more hopeful perspective.

Have you ever explored a wild forest and appreciated
the awesome way in which Life springs forth from the
chaos? Then you know Mother Nature never regrets. She
learns as she goes and always makes the best of things
as they are. She never looks back.

When a tree takes root in the shadows, Mother Nature
doesn't regret giving it a "sub-optimum" start in
life. She trusts it will bend toward the Light and
find a way to thrive. And in doing so, the tree
creates its own unique beauty.

She knows that no storm, flood, or fire can stop the
endless Flow of Life through her children.
