Sarah's Continued Transformation

I got a call from Sarah that was both sad and happy in major ways. She was in Las Vegas with Josh and the Ghetto Mansion entourage and reporting it was the worst weekend of her life! She started having an asthma attack at dinner, so she and Josh left. Apparently Wayne didn't believe how bad it was, accused them of "ditching" the group, and he "banished" them to another hotel. They hadn't brought any money with them, so they basically spent the weekend alone and with no food money.

So that sucked, but on the other hand, it may have been the last straw for her in dealing with these shallow people. She had already said she wanted to come to Oregon after the baby is born, but now she is saying she wants to come for about a month to figure out what she wants to do next.... However, some of the other stuff she said in the conversation was even more powerful! She said she feels like she has had the life she always dreamed of - living in a mansion, getting everything she wants, hanging out with celebrities, but that she has lost all her respect for those people. I mean, in all fairness, she had met some great people in that lifestyle as well, but she has found that the majority of them range from shallow to having major issues. She has told me so many stories about the out of control drug use, anger issues and so many other things.

I got all choked up when she was telling me this. She is only 19, so who knows where her life will go from here. Right now, she is interested in applying to Americorps, and I think that would be so awesome for her! And it is wonderful to say I am truly looking forward to the time she will be spending here.
