Simple Yet Deep Observation

We went to buy food at a place we had a gift certificate for to take on a picnic the other night. We were the only ones in there, so we just let the kids run around while waiting for our food to cook. It was clear the girl behind the counter was enjoying their energy as they took turns running back and forth to and from Ron. He would lift them into the air, and they would squeal.

After a little bit of this, the girl made an interesting comment: " I don't often see parents letting their kids run around AND paying attention to them." Whoa, food for thought right there.
