Forsythia
I went to a lovely Mothers' Circle led by the amazing Sharon Wesolowski today. She brought some forsythia branches from her yard and said some amazing stuff using them as a metaphor for life and change. At the time, they were all mostly buds with only a hint of any flowers poking out near the bottoms. She talked about that progression, and how some things in our lives "flower" before others but there is always a beautiful and organic flow to it if we just let ourselves go with it. Well, maybe that isn't exactly what she said, but that is what I took away from it. I took a branch home and put it in water, and now I get to enjoy watching the spectrum of bloom happening right before my eyes!
